The Bioethics Program


Dr. Alfandre received his medical degree from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He completed his post-graduate training in Internal Medicine at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York City in 2004. Prior to medical school, Dr. Alfandre, received his MSPH in International Health and Parasitology from Tulane and then spent two years in development work in the Peace Corps in Dominica. He now divides him time between patient care, research with Hepatitis C, and teaching medical ethics. He has helped lead and oversee the development, administration, and operation of the Ethics Educational Conference Service at the Mount Sinai Hospital, a housestaff educational program designed to teach a systematic approach to inpatient ethical dilemmas.
